To put in perspective, here is a list of the shipwrecks around Sri Lanka.
Over 100 shipwrecks lie on the ocean floor around Sri Lanka, some dating to the 1800s and up to 65m deep. Many dive operators around the country can access most of the wreck dive sites but it is always a good idea to speak to them beforehand to understand the depth and conditions to suit your level of diving.
Some wrecks require prior approval from the Sri Lanka Navy or are completely restricted due to archaeological or security reasons.
